How to Turn a Script Into an AI Movie
A screenplay cannot be sent directly to most video models and expected to return a finished film. It must be translated into production layers: scenes, beats, shots, visual references, performances, sound, and an edit.
Convert scenes into visual beats
For each scene, identify what changes emotionally and what the audience must see or hear. Remove actions that repeat the same information and flag moments that require close continuity.
Build a shot plan
Assign every shot a number, subject, framing, action, camera behavior, duration, audio purpose, and continuity notes. Generate reference frames before motion so expensive mistakes appear early.
Create in editorial order
A rough animatic reveals pacing and coverage gaps. Generate the shots that establish the story first, then reactions, inserts, and transitions. Avoid finishing scene one beautifully before learning that the ending needs a different visual system.
Document rights and provenance
Save scripts, prompt logs, references, model terms, performer releases, music licenses, and asset sources. That production record matters when submitting to festivals, distributors, or a paid marketplace.
